Why I Built It
I’ve been using DigitalOcean since about 2015. Back then, I wa
s running VM-based workloads with Droplets, managing my own database servers, setting up block storage, and building HA failover. These weren’t just experiments, they were real projects in production.
At one point, DigitalOcean invited me to their NYC headquarters to discuss how I was scaling and using their platform. They were genuinely interested in how developers like me were thinking long-term about infrastructure.
Since then, DigitalOcean has evolved. More tooling, more automation, more features. This is awesome, but also more to keep up with. I don’t want to dig through documentation every time I spin up a project or tweak a config.
The XYZ Doohickey Company was founded in 1971, and has been providing quality doohickeys to the public ever since. Located in Gotham City, XYZ employs over 2,000 people and does all kinds of awesome things for the Gotham community.
If you’re a developer who wants to truly understand your stack from the first droplet onward this tool was made for you.
